Shop calendar

Use Settings → Shop calendar to colour live jobs by product range and to subscribe Google Calendar, Outlook, Apple Calendar, or another calendar app to your shop’s CutBench board.

Who can do this

Organisation admins. Calendar users still see colours and bars on the shop calendar; only admins manage ranges and the shop subscribe link.

Product range colours

Add the ranges you already use in Outlook (for example Signature, Simplicity, Private). Each range has a name and colour.

On a job, choose Calendar range and optionally a short Calendar note (for example “reserved” or “need to order”). Week view bars use that colour and include the note in the label.

If you never set ranges, bars are coloured by job status instead (accepted, templated, cut, fit, remedial).

Subscribe the shop calendar

Put the shared shop calendar into the calendar app the office already uses. Live jobs from CutBench appear on a separate calendar and stay up to date.

  1. Go to Settings → Shop calendar.
  2. Choose Get shop subscribe link.
  3. Add the calendar in the app you use:
AppHow to add it
Google CalendarChoose Add to Google Calendar, or Other calendars → From URL and paste the link
OutlookAdd calendar → Subscribe from web, then paste the link
Apple CalendarFile → New Calendar Subscription, or choose Open in Outlook or calendar app

Keep your old shop calendar ticked beside it while you move jobs into CutBench.

Keeping it up to date

CutBench is the source of truth. When jobs are added or dates change, subscribed calendars pick up the change the next time they refresh (often every 15–60 minutes — the calendar app controls this).

This is one-way. Edits in Google Calendar, Outlook, or Apple Calendar do not change CutBench. The feed includes live job bars, templating/cut/fit dates, and away/meeting blocks. Category colours do not transfer into Outlook — the overlay calendar is usually one colour there.

Security

Treat the link like a password. Anyone with it can see the shop’s subscribed jobs.

  • Use New link to replace the old URL. Existing subscriptions stop updating.
  • Use Turn off to revoke the feed.

This is separate from each person’s personal calendar subscribe (templating/fit assigned to them only).
