Scheduling (lead times)

Set shop lead times so CutBench can fill cut and fit dates when you book templating — without a full production planner.

Who can do this

• Organisation admins turn the feature on and set offsets under Settings → Scheduling
• Anyone who can edit job schedule dates sees autoschedule when it is enabled for the organisation
• Requires the Pro plan

Turn it on

1. Go to Settings → Scheduling
2. Enable Autoschedule
3. Set Template → cut and Cut → fit in calendar days (defaults are 7 and 7)
4. Optionally keep Warn when dates are out of order on
5. Save

tip

Autoschedule is off until you enable it. Starter accounts see an upgrade notice on this page.

How it behaves on a job

When autoschedule is on:

1. Add or edit a job and set a templating date — empty cut and fit dates fill from your lead times
2. Set or move cut — empty fit fills from the cut lead time
3. If cut or fit already have dates, CutBench asks before updating them to match lead times
4. Setting fit alone never changes templating or cut
5. Uncheck Autoschedule from lead times on a job to skip the cascade for that job only

Soft warnings appear if cut is before templating, or fit is before cut. They do not block saving.
