Sales leads overview

Use Leads for enquiries that are not a confirmed job yet — a phone call, walk-in, or email asking about a worktop.

When they ask for a quote (or you are ready to price the work), convert the lead into a customer and job. Contact details carry across so you do not re-type them.

Who can do this

Users with Customers permission. Leads appears next to Customers in the sidebar.

Typical flow

  1. Someone enquires → add a lead (name, phone, source, salesperson, next follow-up).
  2. Chase callbacks from the leads list (open / needs follow-up / missing dates).
  3. They ask for a quote → Convert → customer + job.
  4. Open Quote Studio from the job (or Quotes → New quote) and send the quote.
  5. When they accept → approve the quote on the job.

You can still import a CounterGo PDF on the job if you quoted outside CutBench.

Skip the lead only when the work is already confirmed (for example a repeat showroom order with a PO in hand) — create the customer and job directly.
