Draw and price a quote

In Quote Studio you move through layout → curves → edges → cutouts → slabs → price. Work in millimetres; pricing uses your shop’s currency and VAT settings.

Who can do this

Users with Quotes permission and Quote Studio enabled (see Quote Studio).

Drawing tools

The left toolbar includes:

ToolShortcutUse
MoveVSelect and move pieces or cutouts
DrawDDrag a run on the canvas; turn for an L; type a size
AngleAChange a 90° corner to another angle
ItemsIPlace sinks, hobs, taps, and other cutouts
MeasureMClick–click distance
TextTAdd a note on the plan

Shape presets: Rectangle, L shape, U shape, and Island.

The right-hand panel is collapsible. Sections for material, sizes, rotation, joint, corners, edges, and cutouts open and close — collapsed sections show a short summary, and they reopen when you click that part of the drawing.

Edges, corners, and cutouts

  1. Select a piece and set edge profiles, splash, or downstand in the right panel.
  2. Adjust corner treatments (radius, cut, and so on) as needed.
  3. Add cutouts from your catalogue (sink, hob, tap, draining grooves, sockets, and more).

Configure default edge profiles and cutouts under Settings → Quote → Edges & cutouts.

Slab planning

On the slabs step, Quote Studio estimates how many slabs you need from the drawing:

  • Joints (for example butt or mitre) on L and U shapes
  • Auto-arrange of fabrication pieces onto slab sheets
  • Optional vein matching and extra slabs for sales planning

This helps purchasing and pricing — it is not CNC nesting or machine output.

Price and save

  1. Open the price step.
  2. Choose the customer (pre-filled when you started from a job).
  3. Select material from your price list or stock, set sell/cost, and wastage if needed.
  4. Review the live line-item preview (area, edges, cutouts, tax, total).
  5. Optionally configure customer choices.
  6. Save — you are taken to the quote detail page.

Price lists and defaults live under Settings → Quote.

tip

You can also use Manual entry for numeric takeoffs without drawing, when a sketch is not needed.
