Cut progress and QC

While a job is in Cut, CutBench shows workshop steps on the job — for example Cutting, Polishing/Edging, then QC — without adding extra columns on the board.

Who can do this​

Users with Jobs permission (workshop and office staff). Field templaters and fitters do not update cut progress.

How it works​

  1. Move the job to Cut on the board (or open a job already in Cut).
  2. On the job page (or quick view), open Cut progress.
  3. Tap Start or Complete on the current step only.
  4. On the QC step, tick the checks and Pass & move to Fit, or Fail QC if something is wrong.

Passing QC moves the job to Fit automatically. Failing QC blocks the step and raises an issue.

What you see on the board​

Jobs in Cut can show a small badge such as the current step, Awaiting QC, or Blocked. Today also surfaces awaiting QC and blocked cut jobs for the office.

Customise the steps​

Admins can rename, reorder, enable, or add steps under Settings → Cut progress. Changes apply to new jobs.
