Issues overview
Issues (red flags) are owned blockers on a job. Use them when you know a job is stuck — for example a customer hold, site access problem, or material delay you are already chasing.
They are separate from automation alerts, which ping you when CutBench detects a condition (such as material not in house). An issue stays open on the Issues board until someone resolves it.
Who can do this
Users with Jobs permission (office staff).
If your shop turns on Add issues under Settings → Field access, assigned templaters and fitters can also raise issues on their jobs. They cannot resolve issues or open the shop Issues board. See Field access.
Raise an issue on a job
- Open the job.
- Find the Issues panel.
- Choose a type (material delay, access issue, customer hold, remedial, or other), severity, title, and owner.
- Optionally add notes and a due date.
- Raise the issue — the owner is notified in Inbox (and email, if enabled).

Issues board
Open Issues in the sidebar to see open blockers across the shop. Filter by status, severity, type, owner, or overdue, then click a job ref to open the job.
Admins can turn on Block status changes on critical issues so a job cannot move status while a critical issue is still open.

Resolve an issue
On the job (or after opening it from the board), add an optional resolution note and mark the issue Resolve. It leaves the open filters and the kanban open-issue badge clears.
Only office users with Jobs access can resolve. Field workers who are allowed to raise issues cannot resolve them.
